For​ ​another​ ​thirteen​ ​hours,​ ​they​ ​are​ ​stuck​ ​in​ ​here,​ ​a​ ​deserted​ ​building​ ​on​ ​the​ ​next​ ​block​ ​from​ ​that​ ​human​ ​girl​’​s​ ​apartment.​ ​The​ ​floor​ ​and​ ​walls​ ​are​ ​all​ ​black,​ ​covered​ ​with​ ​ash​ ​drifting​ ​in​ ​the​ ​air​ ​like​ ​a​ ​live​ ​autumn​ ​breeze.​ ​There​ ​isn​’​t​ ​much​ ​furniture;​ ​most​ ​of​ ​them​ ​are​ ​painted​ ​with​ ​black​ ​color.​ ​There​ ​is​ ​nothing​ ​else​ ​but​ ​a​ ​pile​ ​of​ ​charred​ ​wreckage.

Considering​ ​the​ ​damage​ ​around​ ​here,​ ​the​ ​flame​ ​was​ ​lively​ ​dancing​ ​a​ ​long​ ​time​ ​ago.

It​ ​is​ ​safe.

Even​ ​though​ ​he​ ​is​ ​holding​ ​the​ ​gun​ ​tightly,​ ​the​ ​hesitation​ ​is​ ​really​ ​hard​ ​to​ ​be​ ​shaken​ ​off.​ ​So​ ​he​ ​puts​ ​the​ ​gun​ ​down​ ​for​ ​a​ ​second​ ​and​ ​then​ ​holds​ ​it​ ​to​ ​the​ ​boy​’​s​ ​head​ ​again.​ ​It​ ​has​ ​never​ ​been​ ​this​ ​difficult​ ​to​ ​end​ ​a​ ​life​ ​for​ ​him​ ​before.​ ​He​ ​doesn​’​t​ ​know​ ​what​ ​has​ ​got​ ​into​ ​him.

She​ ​is​ ​the​ ​human​ ​girl​ ​from​ ​that​ ​apartment​ ​earlier.​ ​The​ ​girl​ ​is​ ​holding​ ​a​ ​gun,​ ​pointing​ ​at​ ​him.​ ​Considering​ ​the​ ​way​ ​she​ ​is​ ​holding​ ​it​ ​and​ ​anxiety​ ​painted​ ​on​ ​her​ ​face,​ ​she​’​s​ ​probably​ ​never​ ​held​ ​a​ ​gun​ ​before.
